Meet Trainer and Owner of Loyal Syndicate Dog Training: Steve Lopez

I've had a lifelong love affair with dogs, starting from the sun-drenched streets of Sylmar, California, where I was born, to the picturesque landscapes of Canyon Country where I grew up. My journey with dogs began when I was just a kid, the day my dad introduced me to a German Shepherd puppy. That day, something clicked, and I knew dogs would be a central part of my life.

As a former U.S. Marine, my life has been shaped by resilience, discipline, and a whole lot of heart – qualities I see reflected in my favorite breeds, the American Pitbull Terrier and the American Bully. My journey with these incredible breeds started with Taz, my first American Bully, who bounded into my life in 2015. Taz was more than a pet; he was my partner in exploring the fascinating world of dog training, inspiring me to dive deep into the best care and training methods.

After serving seven years in the Marine Corps, I found my true calling in dog training. My time in the military helped me develop a unique approach to working with dogs, blending structure with a whole lot of love and patience.

In 2018, I founded Loyal Syndicate, inspired by the unwavering loyalty and companionship of my two American Bullies, Taz and Lucy. This venture wasn’t just about training; it was about creating a space where dogs and their humans could form deeper bonds.

By 2020, I was ready to take my passion to the next level, joining a dog training company to soak up all the knowledge I could. A year later, with dreams bigger than ever, I set out on my own, collaborating with experienced trainers to continue growing and learning.

Now, with many years of professional experience, my mission is to help you and your four legged companion build trust, understanding, clear communication, consistency, fairness and overall stronger bond through various training methods and techniques such as positive reinforcement and corrective measures as needed. From obedience training, to behavior modification, or just learning to “speak dog”, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. When you join The Loyal Syndicate, you join the family.
